Show Bluff man found dead multiple gun wounds of t Paul McPehrson, 55, a Bluff resident and businessman for over 20 years, was found dead from multiple gun wounds in Comb Wash near State Highway 163 five miles west of Bluff Sunday. Evidence indicated that he was killed where his body was found. John Stash, Bluff, reported the body to Deputy Sheriff Rudy Cook at 3:44 p.m. Several people said they had seen McPehrson as late at 10:30 Sunday morning. San Juan County Sheriff Rigby Wright said there is no evidence to indicate that robbery was the motive for the slaying. This is the west - dry, barren, beautiful. A. An autopsy performed by Dr. Grahafn of the Utah Commission Reiner of Medical Examiners indicated that McPehrson had been shot six tiroes from varying ranges and angles. Sheriff Wright said that several of the shots would have been fatal. There are some leads in the case for which a full scale investigation is underway. Several persons reported seeing a stranger in the area on the day of the shooting and Sheriff Wright has ordered a composit drawing based upon the descriptions they gave of the person. v A second more exhaustive search covering a broader area will be conducted for clues in the area where the body was found.
