Briggle of Glen Canyon Na -tional Recreation Area announced that he has requested the U. S. Coast Guard to assist the National Park Service during the holiday periods throughout the summer months. Rear Admiral T. R. Sargent, Commander, Eleventh Coast Guard District, agreed to dispatch a boarding team over the Easter weekend, Memorial Day, Independence Day, the first week of August, and Labor Day. Mr. Briggle stated that be -tween the two services, and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, there will be a high degree of protection afforded for the boaters on Lake Powell.
