Show San Juan's deer kill highest Statistics just released indicate that San Juan County's deer kill for last year's hunting Season was the highest in the state with a whopping 74 success. According to Cecil Jones, Conservation Officer for the County, other counties ranged from 53 to 63 but our County topped them all with it's 74. THE LITTLE THEATRE Monticello, Utah 7:30 P. Mr. Jones also reminds hunters that may wish to participate in the turkey hunt to be held in the County April 27 through May 13, that a hunting license is necessary to pursue and hunt the elusive tom turkey. An increased bag limit over last year to two birds should add some incentive to the hunters and bring up the number going into the field for this second spring turkey season. In addition to the LaSal Mountain area in San Juan County, Grand County is also open to hunters. Legal weapons will be center-fir- e rifles, bow and broadhead arrows, or shotguns no larger than 10 gauge or smaller than 20 guage.
