Military students going TDY must make arrangements to drop classes prior to leaving. A signature is required on diopadd forms. Book Buy Back The USU Bookstore on campus will buy back books during final exam week each 6 for information. The quarter. Merrill Library Utah State University Logan, UT 84322-300- 0 (within Utah) Fax: DELS provides library and information services for Utah State University's distance education courses. USU students and instructors are eligible for services; this does not include those attendingteaching classes on the Logan campus. Services support curriculum-relate- d research and course development Document delivery of materials held in the University Libraries' collections and assistance in conducting library research are available. There are no charges for this service. Detailed policies are available at each site, or contact DELS. Canceling of Classes Due to instructor staffing needs, book ordering deadlines, and other requirements, students should register before classes are to begin. Classes may be canceled and instructors reassigned before the first class session if students do not register during scheduled registration. Transfer of Credit The following transfer credits can be applied towards a BS degree: up to 120 credits from a Junior College, up to 45 credits of Independent Study, and up to 71 credits of P" grades. Late Fees TuitionFees are due before the first day of the quarter. A $20 late fee for each class will be assessed beginning the first day of the quarter. This applies to all students: graduate, undergraduate, military, civilian, and students receiving VA benefits. '' f' t t .'?, "& nance charge is added to the total amount due. AH previous deferred fee notes must be paid in full before another one will be issued. If your tuition and fees will be paid by a company or institution, it will not be necessary to pay the $125, if the registration is accompanied by an official authorization of billing. (Deferred Fee Notes cannot be used for audited classes or books.) Please do not use cash. High School Seniors High school students may enroll in courses for college credit if they have completed their junior year, have a 3.0 grade point average, and have a letter of approval from their parents and principal. Incompletes 797-166- USU ': and Students are required to complete all courses for which they are registered by the end of the quarter. In some cases, a student may be unable to complete all of the work in a course due to extenuating circumstances, but not due to poor performance. Such a student may petition the instructor of the course for time beyond the end of the quarter to finish the work. If the instructor agrees, two grades are placed on the final grade list for the student - an "I" and a letter grade for the course computed as if the missing work were zero. The student is then required to complete the work by the time agreed upon, a period of time no longer than 12 months. If no change of grade has been submitted by the instructor within the prescribed time period, the "I" grade will be removed and the letter grade originally submitted with the "I" will remain as the permanent grade for the course. Senior students may also enroll for Independent Study classes. The Independent Study catalog may be picked up at the SUCCE Office. Senior students may also enroll in concurrent education classes 2 through local high schools. Call for information. 259-743- Veterans Please note - Veterans who have not paid their tuition and fees in full, two weeks after the quarter begins, will be notified that they will be terminated from the VA. (This applies to those on the GI Bill). Veterans should call Joann Toone at 2 for information before registering. Servicemen using Military Tuition Assistance must bring a copy of the form with them to registration. 797-110- Final Grades Final grade reports from the USU campus are sent to students within 30 days of the final exam.
