Are you crazy? No, BVDs is a restaurant in Castle Dale. Lets go! The name might be a little unusual for a restaurant, but the eating establishment is well established in Emery County. Formerly Sheralds Drive-in- , the restaurant is under new ownership and with the new owners, comes the new name. ' Becky Nelson of Clawson purchased the business from Sherald Law and began operation Oct. 1. With the new ownership, came a new name, and Becky said that everyone, employees and family members, liked the name Beckys Variety Drive-i- n or BVDs for short. She added that the name Best Volume Deal falls in there somewhere as . well. Located at 236 West on 9 next to the Castle Dale Utah Power and Light office, BVDs is open from 10:30 each morning until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The business has 11 employees, includ SR-2- ing several members of Beck- ys family. j The BVD menu features some of the favorites from the Sheralds menu good American food for lunch and dinner. However, Becky said that the menu now includes homemade pies and soups, a Mexican dish and that an oriental dish may soon be added as well as a potato bar and hoag-ieEach week BVDs features s. a Monday-nigspecial from 5:30 to 7. Another new feature to the restaurant is business delivery. Becky said that business employess can call in an hour or an hour and a half before lunch break and the meal will be delivered.; That includes the evening meal for shift workers. Clubs, special groups and birthday parties may also reserve booths at the ht restaurant. This is Beckys first experience as an ownermanager of an eating establishment although she worked at and managed Sheralds for several months before taking over ownership. I love to work with the public, she said, noting that she owned a boutique in Clawson and has done secretarial work over the years. She is the daughter of Nathanand Adele Atwood. Rochelle Is a senior at Emery High. She has been on Emery's volleyball team for three years and the basketball team for two years. She also has been a member of the Honor Society. Rochelle plans to attend college where she will major In business and secretarial work. Nash, of Orangeville, Is the son of Tom and Shirley Baltzer. He is a senior at Emery High School and Is listed in "Who's Who Among American High School Students." Nash has lettered In football, baseball and track while at Emery High. He recently participated In a Utah Instructional Baseball League where he was chosen to play In an allstar game In Salt lake city. He also loves to golf and fish.
