Historical- ly, war has been successfully waged against the cedars. Two track dozers operate in a line, dragging a huge chain between them. With each chain link weighing almost 90 pounds, trees are broken off or uprooted, leaving only small plants in their wake. Making successive passes, dozers sweep back and forth over the target area. The aftermath is a tangled heap of wood debris and an excellent seedbed. DWR will speed up the regenerative process by ground and aerial application of seed.
