I am now open and available to serve the community in an endeavor that I feel is important. I want to give back to the community that has been a part of my life for so long. I am running for Grand County School Board because Hmes-Independe- t n The Moab Area Travel Council, along with other businesses throughout the community, have an ongoing advertising campaign on the that it is time for a change. I would like to diversify the school board with new thoughts and ideas. I want to contribute my time and energy in a positive way, and be a fair and unbiased representative for the community. With the crisis that our country and society has come through in the past few years I believe having a safe school environment is of utmost importance. With academics being a priority for me 1 strongly endorse the efforts of the community and the schools in their reading goals for this year. I believe high academic standards and quality teaching go hand in hand, and I will support this if elected to the school board. If you have any questions or comments please call me at I believe my home, Utah.com web site which is the official site of the Utah Travel Council. The presence is very profitable in terms of visitors coming to the Moab Area Travel Councils own web site and then trickling into the local sites. One of the owners of the Utah.com web site will be in Moab on Nov. 6 and will do a full presentation, followed by a question and answer period, to the community on the Moab Destination pages within the site. Anyone in the community that is interested in the hearing the presentation is invited to attend. The presentation will take place at the Moab Valley Inn, Nov. 6, 2002 at 10AM.
