After Vernons death in 1970, a year later she married George Casey Stengel. To this union Stephanie was born. Maebelle devoted 30 years caring for her at City Market for Details handicapped daughter. Maebelle worked as a butcher for City Market, owned and operated a credit bureau in Moab for many years. She loved playing guitar and singing. She enjoyed golfing, cooking and camping. She had a great sense of humor and was the life of the Women of Moab Unite! party. She is survived by Shane Merett, Kim Merett and Stephanie Stengel, step children Rick (Diny) Stengel, Susie and Cindy Stengel. She is also survived by grandchildren Amber (Vance) Morris, Dustin (Amy) Merett, Lacy Merett and Mason Merett, great grand daughters Tenaya and Laura Pearl Morris. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Vernon and Casey, and son Brandon.
