Obituaries 30 in his Blanding home Services October 7 for Washburn William Ervin and Parry family members at Don Palmer, born December 17, 1949 to Klea Washburn Palmer died his home in Blanding, Ut., the morning of September 30, Olive Rich Parry LDS Olive Arlene Rich Parry was born May 15, 1937 to 2004. Don is survived by his wife Thelma Russell Rich and Arbun Mario Rich. Olive grew up in Lapoint, Ut., where she spent her days playing on the river with her sisters. She died Oct. 3, 2004 in a tragic vehicle Patti, his children Todd (Mandi), Bart (Sheri), Dawnan, Danny (Amanda), Cole, and Kate. He is also sur- vived by his brother Ellis (Mabel June), sister Nedra (Gordon Hatch), and brother Philip (Lawana). Don will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Shaylei, Tavi Joe, Dylan, Payton, Corbin, Lathiel, Delaney, Halli, and Owen Palmer. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Gordon Ervin, Max Washburn, Lyle Clint, and his sister, Nadine Bayles. Don lived for his family, especially for his wife Patti, whom he loved more than his own life. Don spent his time on earth in sacrifice for his children and their families always giving of his time and efforts on their behalf. During the past five years Don served as the bishop of the Blanding First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. Aside from being a husband and father this was the most fulfilling calling of his life. Don loved to work and loved his work as a mortician. He was a perfectionist in an industry where perfection is demanded and treated each person as if they were his own family. His artistic talent was evident in each life that he touched. has truly touched the lives of each member of the San Juan, and Grand County communities with his compasDon sion, professionalism, service, charity, kindness, and love. Don brought comfort to people in their times of tragedy and sorrow, he truly was his brother's keeper. Don was loved and will be missed by thousands especially by his wife, children, and grandchildren. We will remember a strong energetic man who loved sports and hard work. We will remember his strong arms and back working hard in his shop. But most of all we will remember his love. ing stories. She married James D. Parry in April, 1955 and the marriage was later solem nized in the Temple. Olive was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family more than any other thing in her life. She also loved her savior, Jesus Christ. Olive will be remembered by those who love her as an example of true feminine beauty. She was loving, giving, kind, compassionate and sensitive. She gave all she could to meet the needs of those she loved, and will be greatly missed by all. James Delos Parry James Delos Parry was born Dec. 17, 1932 in Montwell, Utah to Melvon Leroy and Phoebe Hullinger Parry. He died on Oct. 3, 2004. He married Olive Arlene Rich April, 1S55. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. To them was born one daughter, Kathleen. She has been a great joy to them. from He graduated Roosevelt High School in Roosevelt, Utah in 1948, after which he joined the Army where he served in Germany. He loved to hunt and fish. Most of all he loved his family. Jim worked in the saddle tree making business in Vernal, Utah for many years, then moved to Moab where he continued making saddle trees. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Delvon, Leroy and Jerry Allen Nola Parry, and sister-in-laMae Hunsaker Parry. Kathys greatest love was her precious daughter Emma. Kathy did everything within her power to ensure Emmas happiness and well being. Kathy and Emma were more than mother and daughter, they were best friends. She had a heart full of love for people and animals alike and will be missed, more than words can say, by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, ward members and a menagerie of pets. She died Oct. 3, 2004. Kathy was the light of her parents life. From the moment she was born to the moment the three of them left this life together, she brought immeasurable joy to her mother and father.
