Show 6 May 27, 1999 -- 3 n Outstanding high school students were honored at luncheon May 20, a when they received scholarships at the home of Maj. Gen. Richard and Kelly Rc ellig. Six students were selected from thirteen applicants. Blind judging from five members of the community was used to determine recipients. Approximately 40 people attended the ceremony along with the following recipients: 1 Diana Archuleta will attend Mount Holyoke College to study humanities and computer science. At St. Joseph High School, she's a student body offi- Andrea Trujillo will attend the University of Utah and study biology. At Clearfield High School, she's been a member of the National Honor Society for three years, editor of her school magazine, recipient of several academic awards and an active community volunteer. She received a $1,000 scholarship from the Officers' Spouses ClubEnlisted Spouses and Associates Club. cer, National Honor Society president and sports ::::::::::-::- participant. She is one of nine Utah women to receive the Governor's Achievement Award. He received a $1,000 scholarship from ; Luke Northern is a 4.0 student at Layton High School who'll attend Boston College and enter their d program. He's a member of the National Honor Society, lettered in varsity baseball, served as a student ambassador to Europe and received a number of prestigious academic and community awards. She's been on the Honor Roll every semester in high school, a National Honor Society member since she was a sophomore and is a perennial volunteer recognized for many other achievements. She received a $2,000 scholarship from United Nathan Painter is a 4.0 student at Northridge High School who plans to attend Elon College to study biology and music. His goal is to become a surgeon. He's a member of the National Honor Society and accomplished musician active in Jazz Band, Woodwinds Band and Orchestra. He also gives flute performances at the Hill AFB Chapel services.
