This group has been singing and playing in the Utah area for many years. They call themselves a "double trio." and they sing a variety of soft rock, novelty and era songs. 3:30 p.m. Robert Lowe Fam- u p r Gina Larsen Heidi Hunt Jill Harley ss City Q ueens Compete For M iss Utah County Nine city queens will compete with each other to gain the crown of Miss Utah County as part of the Utah County fair. The winner and her two attend- ants will preside over Utah County Fair events and appear in county functions throughout the year. Mark Van Wagoner, morning man for KSL radio and the crea- tive director of the station, will serve as master of ceremonies. The pageant is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 8 p.m. in the Mountain View High School Auditorium. A $3 donation for adults and $1.50 for children will be accepted. Crowning the new queen will be Stacey Benson, the current Miss in the Utah County and runner-u- p Miss Utah Pageant. Her attendants, Phyllis Galan of Provo, and Patrice Nielson of Springville, will also be at the competition. The new queen will be eligible to compete for Miss Utah State Fair in September, and Miss Utah honors in 1985. The contestants will be judged on talent, evening gown, swimsuit and interview. Those competing are city queens selected in 1983: Gina Larsen, Miss Provo, Elizabeth Gordon. Miss Lake Shore: Heidi Hunt. Miss Payson; Melanie Han- & ily 4:30 p.m. Mary Lou Nielson. Karen DeAnn Cardon. Cindy Murdock, Francine Chnstensen. Marilyn Groneman, Kellie Guynn, Glenda Ferguson and Julie Winterton. The pageant is affiliated with the Miss Utah and Miss American pageants.
