Kirt Olson, assistant director of American Indian Services (AIS) at Brigham Young University, said the clinic is a BYU project which has taken nearly three years to complete. Equipment for the clinic was donated to AIS by dentists and dental supply companies in the intermountain area. He reported that Dr. Max Blackham of Pelasant Grove, Utah, was instrumental in obtaining the equipment and supervising its installation. He will treat the first patients during the open- tion. Olson said this is the third Indian reservation on which AIS has established a dental clinic with donated equipment. The first was on the Supai reservation deep in an arm of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. The second clinic started three years ago at Ibapah, Nev., on the Goshute Reservation irhich straddles the a border. Dr. Blackham goes to the Supai octo the casionally and J Goshutes.
