Under new policy, which became effective in July, missions will no longer take their names from the geographical areas they include, but will be named by the country or state and city in which they have headquarters. ( Hong Kong is the only one not changed. ) Today, the Church has 111 missions, located throughout the world, an increase of 38 in the past 10 years, 28 of those being created in the past five years.
