Workshop curricula will be geared toward people with extensive, to little or no formal musical training. Highlight of the workshop portion will be "Intro to Jazz Instruments", a chance . for anyone, seven and older, who wants to learn to play an to experiment with instrument, woodwinds and brass. Workshop presenters include Barbara Danielson, Dave Bennett, Dan Waldis, Jim Sorells, Jeff Stone, Lloyd Miller, Henry Wolking, Barbara Terry, Al Weight, Denis Zwang and Joe Muscolino. Admission to the jazz festival will be $2 per person, or $5 per family for each concert series or combination of workshops. Admission charges will serve as a donation, and proceeds will be utilized by the Jazz Society and Salt Lake County Library System to cover production costs and support future activities. r For more inforamtion on the "Jazz at the Library" Jazz festival call Salt Lake County Library . System, workshops where interested people of all musical proficiences can participate in learning about the mechanics of music in general and jazz in particular. The concert segment of the festival will be held from 7 to 10:30 p.m., on November 14 and 15, in the Whitmore library auditorium. Music performed will represent various jazz styles. Friday nights bill will include performances by Lloyd Miller, Amnesia, Steve Braithwaite Quartet and a jam sesison.
