Show The Hobbit to be performed in Pleasant Grove '. It was 60 years ago that Bard the bowman shot his black arrow into the hollow belly of Smaug the dragon. With a shriek that deafened men, felled trees and split stone, Smaug crashed down from on high in ruin. Now Smaug has reappeared. Recent sightings of goblins, dwarves, elves, wizards and hob-biindicate that something mystical is afoot. Come join on the 60th anniversary of their creation, Gandalf the Wizard, Bilbo Baggins, the ts hobbit, who discovered One Ring of Power, and their companions as the Pleasant Grove the Youth Theater presents J.R.R. Tolkien's tale of adventure in The Hobbit. A cast of 62 children portray Middle-eart- this delightful tale of a reluctant hobbit called upon to take part in an extraordinary adventure. Bilbo Baggins is played by Anna Mitton and Allison Keller, both of Orem. Other cast members are from Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Lehi, Cedar Hills, Orem and American Trying To Have A Baby? v f:Vi Fork. The musical is directed by local actordirector, David Whitlock, who indicates that this production is an opportunity for children to explore their talents and perform for the community. The Hobbit will begin April 25 at Pleasant Grove Jr. High School auditorium, 810 N. 100 East, with additional showings on April 26 and 28. Each show begins at 7:30 p.m. and all tickets are $2. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Additional performances will be held at the Scera Shell in Orem on May 5, 6 and 7.
