Topics scheduled will include the proposed fee changes on returned checks, an additional $1 fishing licence fee for hatchery maintenance, and an increase of $1 on all small game licences. The small game licence increase will help the Division comply with federally mandated migratory upland species harvest survey requirements, introduce a chukar partridge release program, and pay for upland game water development throughout Utah. Discussion regarding proposed permit numbers for the 1997 antler-les- s big game hunts will also be conducted as well as establishing a standard rule to implement legislated depredation laws. Wildlife Unit Management boundaries may also be consolidated to form larger standard management units, allowing wildlife species in a geographic area to be managed under the same unit name and number. Under this proposed change, all previous deer, elk, moose, cougar, and bear management units in a particular area would be combined into a single unit and assigned the same unit name and number. A review of the Utah Falconry Proclamation will follow and recommended changes will be proposed by the Division regarding falconry in the state of Utah. Additional topics will include public access to the administrative proceedings, heard by the Wildlife Board and the Division. Efforts will also concentrate on a proposed RAC rule, modifying the process to provide more timely public access to the Regional Advisory Councils. Outdoors Correspondent sixth after an error and K.
