Show - t Elise Fellingham: 'Celebrate the joy9 t Elise Fellingham, daughter of Gil and Paula Fellingham of Lehi, is this week's Pioneer Profile. ' Elise's young student from Meadow Elementary demonstrates to her family about how a robot works at the recent Science Fair at the school. All of the materials and lesson plans were provided through Utah State University. The students had the opportunity to participate in the experiments during the day, then bring their families back 1 violence. In graduation ceremonies held at Lehi Junior High School, students from Sego Lily Elementary heard from Principal Glen Martin, Lehi Police Department Lt. Chad Smith, and Steve Brown, sports announcer for the Utah Jazz. Martin recommended that the students read the book, "What Kids Need to Succeed," and Smith encouraged them to stay involved in school and choose good friends. How can we be more aware of these sneaky things? We can be careful in picking good television shows and listening to good music that doesn't make drugs and alcohol sound good. We are very lucky to have programs like D.A.R.E. that make us more aware of our environment. D.A.R.E. also prepares us to deal with situations where we might be scared or afraid. If we plan ahead on how to deal with bad situations like this we can be ready to "Just Say No." Drug dealers will most likely stay away from kids that are involved in such a good program.
