Registration for new students will be held on Friday, Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the school, 700 E. Cedar Hollow Rd., Lehi. New students must bring proof of immunization, proof of Lehi residency, such as a utility bill or copy of a rental agreement; and the name and address of the last school attended. For returning students, including students who attended sixth grade in a Lehi school, registration will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and on Thursday, Aug 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. for all grades. The week-lon- g Washington Leadership Conference helps FFA members improve their leadership skills and prepare for leadership roles in their chapters, their communities and their future careers. Workshops included sessions on goal setting and team building, with discussion on personal development, motivation and citizenship. All sessions were led by former FFA officers. During the conference, Wilson and others were also able to visit Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian Institution, Arlington National Cemetery, the Jefferson Memorial and other historic sights. F 370-873- Farm Bureau Talent Find to be part of County Fair The annual Utah County Talent Find competition will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on August 15 at the Utah County Fairgrounds in Spanish Fork, according to Neil and Kathryn Anderson, chairman of the Farm Bureau's Young Farmer and Rancher committee, which sponsors the contest. County winners in each of the three divisions will compete in the Utah Farm Bureau Talent Find at the Utah State Fair on Sept. 14. The divisions are: Beginners - up to six years of age inclusive (this division will compete only at the county level); ages 13 to 17; and Senior 0 18 to 30. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded. "The Farm Bureau Talent Find is the largest amateur talent competition in the state," said former state judge and Utah County Fair Director, Francine Christensen. "We want to provide an opportunity for young people to develop their talents here in the county and at the state level." The public is welcome to attend the program.
