Show Training School Scouts Receive New Uniforms Boy Scouts of Troop 816 at the Utah State Training School received Christmas early. Last week they were the recepients of 24 uniforms from the Wasatch One Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans from Provo. The uniforms were presented during a meeting of the troop by Clarence R. Johnson, DAV com mander; Earl Wood, past commander. Joyce Johnson. Auxiliary commander, and Vonetta Wood, Junior vice commander. Patches for the uniforms were given to the Boy Scouts by Floyd Loveridge, scout executive for the Utah National Parks Council; and handbooks by officials of the Training School. THE LEHI FREE PRESS. Smith, 49, Lehi, died December 15 at home of a kidney ailment. He was born December 25, 1923, Lehi, to John and Marie Gunther Smith. He married Survivors include his widow, a son, and daughters, Max Carl, Mrs. Eric (Marilyn) K. Larson, Ruth Ann Smith; brother, Lee Smith all of Lehi; a sister, Mrs. Irven (Beatrice) Smith of Granger, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Grant Christofferson conducting. The prelude and postlude music was played by Betha Gunther and the prayer with the family was offered by Eric Larson. Bishop Grant Christofferson announced the services and was one of the speakers. Bob Coates offered the invocation. A vocal duet was sung by Cecile Smith and Joy Smith. They were accompanied by Betha Gunther. Ronald Smith read the biographical sketch.
