The first week features the TheSo-cit- ology Lesson which is The Revelations from the Doctrine and Covenants. Through these revelations we learn the true way to happiness. Our visiting teachers message is given on the same day. This timely message is found in the Doc. & Cov. and is like a signpost on the highway of life. They point the way to rewarding and abundant living, if we will obey their instructions and heed their counsel. A new course on Attitudes and Manners is given the second week, at our work and business meeting. These point out that the development of the art of being a good hostess and an ideal guest is a women's responsibility and that the pleasures derived therefrom are her special privilege. We are also taught many types of sewing handicrafts as well skills and quilting. F i in these meetings and from individual contributions, the wards, hold bazaars and bake sales during the year. The third week the study of America's Literature is followed. The lives of Hawthorne, Whittier, Longfellow, Lowell and Poe come to life again, and we can renew our acquaintance with America's best loved and best known poets. The Social Science lessons stimulate the women of the church to more fully recognize their importance and to stress their obedience to law in attaining the blessing of exaltation and to summarize women's place in each ward and encourage subscriptions to the magazine which is enjoyed by the whole family. Nurseries are provided in the tiirr. r,t wards, also at the monthly leadership meetings making it possible for the young mothers to attend regularly and take advantage of this wonderful program. We, in the Stake, are very proud and appreciative of the splendid work of the Visiting teachers of the different wards.
