MIA Program Includes Social Life as Well as Spiritual Guidance The Stake Mutual Improvement has aided in carrying out an extensive program for the young people of the LDS church, including those from 12 years. The MIA also provides guidance and educational features for adults of all ages, with many social events and special activities included. A few highlights are mentioned here. One of the first big events of the year was the Gold and Green Ball, held in two divisions on Feb. at the National Guard armory. Both dances followed the theme, "Spring is Busting Out Association 24-2-5, Over." Decorations followed the chosen theme and floor show all numbers were presented under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Roy stake dance directors. "Gold and Green Queens" Linda Allen, First Ward; Naomi Bird, Second Ward; Ernst, Third Ward; Mary Rasmussen, Fourth Ward; Ellen Banks, Fifth Ward; Cheri Bennett, Sixth Ward; Shirley Johnson, Seventh Ward, and Cleora, Calton Cedar Valley. Ellen Banks was chosen as Stake Queen. Sports The girls Softball season began in May and ended on a Stake basis in August. Some 175 girls participated. Two teams represented each ward. was keen. They went on to win the division and district championship. This is the second consecutive year that Lehi Stake has achieved the championship trophy in this field.
