Elaine Alfano (left), although just a sophomore, gave the Utes the impetus they needed to win their third straight national title in gymnastics. Alfano won the NCAA vault crown for the second consecutive year. The Ute football team (below) was headed by such defensive stalwarts as Lonnie Lawson (5) and Jay Fairman (66). The Utah gridders finished with a - overall mark, but were the WAC's No. 1 defensive squad. 5- '0 - ao OQ () GoH'Green consistently good W ' A Wouldn't you know it! Those rascals got into our summer Class Edition (page 36, to be in the precise) and changed "a.m." to "p.m." course listing for JAPANESE GRAMMAR AND (Japanese 350R-- ). What they have against students of Japanese, we'll never know, but making someone twelve hours late for class is simply too wicked for words. Please, if you know anyone at all who might possibly want to take this course summer quarter, tell them that class starts at 8:00 a.m. (not p.m.) Wednesday, June 29, in OSH 131, and meets each Monday and SYNTAX-THI- RD YEAR 1 1 a.m. Wednesday morning from 8:00 until 0:00 through August 17.
