Then in 1959, Mr. Tressl began constructing a frontier town to house the collection he had assembled, patterning his town as a composite of many old ghost towns he had visited in his search for items. Festival of the American West. Many of the artifacts will be dis- played on the festivals' Frontier Street. Others will become part of the 1890 farmstead on the Ronald V. Jensen Living Historical Farm, maintained by USU six miles southwest of Logan. "We are delighted this excellent collection will become part of our festival," stated Dr. Gerald Sherratt, chairman of the annual celebration presented by Utah State University. "Many of the items included in the collection are extremely rare and some cannot be found anywhere else today. It's particularly satisfying that the collection will remain intact," Dr. Sherratt added.
