Overnight guests at the Melvin Castleton home Saturday were Mrs. Melva Crookston and daughters Liz and Emily of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Linn Capps, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carter Whoatloys, Crumps Hold Lagoon Outing By Flo Munsoa ' Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wheatley and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Crump held their annual summer outing for their employees and their partners and families at Lagoon July 18. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Firth and family, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Braegger and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hirschi and family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Palmer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Madson and family, Gale White and son, Ron, Ron Crump, Mark and Jeffrey Wheatley, Carlos Martinez. They were accompanied by Jill Martindale of Ogden and Marcie Lish of Garland. A delicious lunch w is enjoyed afterwhich the group participated in various activities available at Lagoon. A bridal grocery shower was held at the home of Mrs. Marceine Fillmore Saturday with her daughter Kim Thomas of Provo and Mrs. Mabel Showell as The shower honored Miss Karen Webb who will become the bride of Jim Richards of Fielding on July 29 in rites performed in the Ogden LDS Temple. Approximately 24 close friends and relatives attended the shower and enjoyed fun games. Karen was the recipient of lovely and useful gifts. Lusambrosia cious southern with nut bread was served. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Wheat-le- y of Salt Lake City spent Saturday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wheatley and family. The occasion was Alan's birthday anniversary. Mrs. Elva Korth returned home Saturday evening after spending a week in Rexburg and visiting her daughter, Mr, and Mrs. Nyle Boyle and family. Her grandson, Eric Young, accompanied her home to spend a few days visiting. and Mrs. Mr. Sunday Vaughn Korth and three children of Evanston spent the day visiting Mrs. Elva Korth. Houseguests at the home of Mrs. Elva Korth this week are her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs., Ralph Baird of Concord, CalifTa: d Mr. and Mrs. Allen (Beverly Baird) Jacobs and four children of Carlsbaad, Calif. They will also visit Mr. and Mrs. William Griffiths in Brigham City. Vicky Allred of Bountiful spent the weekend visiting Stephanie Green. Green, Mr. and Mrs. Larain Marble, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Farr, Mr, and Mrs. Milton Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Rogers attended a garden party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Allen in Logat) given for the group they were with at the Logan LDS Temple. Dinner was served to approximately 75 followed by a program and social. Mrs. Margaret Durrans and three children have returned to their home in Denver after spending several weeks visiting Mrs. Durran's narents, Mr. and Mrs. Rudy 'Hupp. Mrs. Ruth Castleton attended a kitchen-grocer- y shower, Wednesday in 0g-- ( den, honoring her granddaughter Sarah Crookston, who will become the bride of Scott Godfrey of Bountiful in the nearfuture. About twenty relatives and close friends attended. Games were enjoyed followed by tasty refreshments. The bride-elereceived many lovely and useful gifts. Saturday Mrs. Ruth Castleton attended a miscellan- four-wee- Mr. and Mrs. Max Walker Penny Jean Moss, 11, was treated and released for minor injuries at the Hospital Monday morning following a pedestrian-car accident. Miss Moss was struck by a car being driven by Leah Deakin of Tremonton. The accident occurred when she stepped out from behind a parked car. She is a daughter of Connie Moss, 939 North Tremont, Tremonton, Tre-mont- George W. Sowar ds two-dareunion. They were joined by Mrs. Lichford's husband and daughter, Cynthia. Their were over 100 members who attended the reunion and enjoyed visiting his y counter with a dancing bear in India. Oneta Lichford gave a history of the early life of her great grandparents of Pintsville, Ky. All agreed it was an interesting and informative reunion. Fugal of Pleasant Grove and Mrs. Hattie Hodge of Garland were among the group who left Tuesday morning by plane from Salt Lake City on an Eastern States tour. They will arrive in Pittsburg where they will go by chart-- ' ered bus to Kirtland, Ohio; Niagra Falls (on the Canadian side). They will attend the Hill Cumorah pageant evening afterThursday which they will tour points of interest in Boston, New York D.C., Washington City, where they plan to attend a session at the new LDS Temple, Williamsburg, Va; Gettysburg, return to Pittsburg where a plane will be waiting to bring them back to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Stokes and daughter, Julie, of Elwood along with Mrs. Daisy Hansen, Tom Stokes and his fiance Debbie Veibell were at the Salt Lake airport Friday evening to welcome home Elder Michael Stokes who has been honorably released after fulfilling an LDS mission in Chicago. Others at the airport to welcome Elder Stokes home were Mrs. Bonnie Rudd and daughter, Kathy and son, Joe, of West Fielding, Ross Stokes and son, Max and daughter, Jennifer, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Stokes and son, Nathan, of Salt Lake City. Steed was in Fruit Heights with her brother and sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. Bob Roundy and family for a few days last week while her mother, Burnell Mrs. (Rowane) Roundy of Fielding was receiving medical care in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Roundy underwent surgery for a heart condition. Houseguests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larain Marble are their and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell (Peggy) Flamm of Pleasant Hills, Calif. They will also visit Mrs. Mabel Flamm in Brigham City and with family members in Provo. July 16 Jean Crump, Fanny Fridal, Vernell Morrison and Ethel Firth attended a Utah Federation of Womens' Club workshop held at the Hilton in Salt Lake City. Ruth Barker, president of UFWC conducted the meeting. Reports were also given by ladies from the various departments. Brunch was enjoyed. Mrs. Vernell Morrison, Mrs. Fern Andreason joined Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Bourne and family of Las Vegas, Mrs. Marjorie Ellison of Sunset, Mrs. Clara Goodliffe of Brigham City and Mrs. Beth Christensen of Bear River City to visit at the Earl Peterson home in Bear River City Saturday after attending the 24th of July celebration in Bear River City. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Millhone and daughter, Amalee of Douglas, Wyo. joined the group. Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Packer accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Standing of Ogden met Mrs. Packer's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur (Myrtle) HicklingofSun City, Calif, at the Utah Hotel Motor Lodge in Salt Lake City Thursday for a dinner party. The Hick-ling- 's were on a five-par- k tour.' They all enjoyed visiting Don Packer, and family in West Jordon. Mr. and Mrs. Packer were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Standing and returned home and Mrs. Steven (Becky) Kimle and daughter Carrie of Jlidvale. Mrs. Lichford came especially to attend her 25th high school class reunion held at Sherwood Hills in Sardine Canyon. Last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Bunnell and Mrs. Lichford and daughter visited Mrs. and son. Tommy and Casey Jones have returned after an enjoyable week spent at Red Allyson Ficklin and son, Ryan, joined by Mr. and Mrs. George Nelson Jr. of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. John Gunn and son, Jeffrey of Logan, spent the weekend in Salt Lake City enjoying the 24th of July festivities. Mrs, Clifton G.M.
