Curtis McCulloch was one of the participants. Later they were joined by Mrs. Nancy McCulloch and daughter, Kaylene, and son, Curtis, for a dinner party at the El Matador Resturant in Ogden. President and Mrs. Donald Petersen, Bishop and Mrs. Richard Petersen, attended the Regional I wrestling meet held at the Sky-vieHigh School in Smith-fiel- d Friday and Saturday. Ted and Matt Petersen were two of the participants. Matt Petersen placed fourth and is now eligible to compete in the state wrestling meet held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday of this week. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Millie Welling Saturand day were her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gardner of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Garn accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Carol Hess, of Garland are spending a week in Washington visiting Mr. and Mrs. F. Leo Nye and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Garn in Issaquah and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burnett and family in Moses Lake. Enjoying dinner with Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Peterson and family Sunday was Miss Vicky Reisher of Salt Lake City. Bruce Zundel, a student at Dixie College in St. George spent the weekend visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Zundel and family. Petersons Entertain Guest At Party (Call Bishop and Mrs. Richard Petersen entertained at a party at their home Saturday evening honoring LeRoy Welling who was recently released from the ward bishopric to serve as a High Councilman. Attending in addition to his wife, Ann Welling, were Mr. and Mrs. Kalph Udy, Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Roundy, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Welling, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Godfrey. A planned meal was enjoyed, followed by games and a social. LeRoy was presented w ith a nice church book. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Mason were their son, Dent,'and his wife, Kathy, of Ogden. Saturday e ening they enjoyed dinner at the Juniper Inn. The occasion was E. C. Mason's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Burton visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lay ton in Layton Thursday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Verl Spendlove and family in Perry. Thursday through Sature day of this week Mrs. Zundel will be attending Farm Bureau Women's workshops at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City. Weekend guests at the home of Mrs. Donetta Petersen were Mr. and Mrs. Garth Rasmussen of Vernal, Mrs. Louise Meade and two children of Granger and Mrs. Carol Jensen and daughter. Jane, of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Scott as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Peek of North Ogden, enjoyed a dinner party at Harmon's Restaurant in Ogden Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Scott and daughter, Kristie, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Udy, accompanied by Miss Laurie Borgstrom of Tremonton returned Friday after an enjoyable vacation in Arizona. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hamilton and many other relatives in Mesa. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Scott and family in Tempo, d Mr. and Mrs. Steven and family in Fredonia and Miss Debra Welling in Pima. They took side trips to various points of interest. Visiting Mrs. Flo Munson and family Tuesday were Theron Godfrey and son, Lindon, of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Alph Godfrey of ( 'larkston. Win-war- Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss spent last wseekend in Bur-le- y on business. Thursday visitors at the home of Mrs. Millie Welling were LaVere Welling and daughter, Karen, of Ogden. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. John McClellan and two children enjoyed dinner with Mrs. McClellan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arno Leibelt and family in American Fork. Spending the weekend visiting Mrs. Velda Wood were her son and daughter-in-law- , Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood and family. Sunday a dinner party honoring Kirk who was observing his birthday was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Wilcox and family. Among those attending, in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Wood and family and Mrs. Velda Wood, were Mr. and Mrs. Clair Lund-ber- g of Hyrum, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hess of Ucon, Idaho, Mrs. Pearl Monson of St. John, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Wood and son of Tremonton, Mrs. Ann Bingham and three daughters. Mr.! and Mrs. Russell Hess were weekend guests at the Wilcox home. Ricky Jones of Rexburg spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thay-n- e Jones and family. Other Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting of Plymouth. Lori Allen of Portage spent the weekend with her friend, Maria Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Munson attended an invitational reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Brown in w son-in-la- ' Members Tremonton Wednesday evening, honoring U. S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch. Lovely refreshments were enjoyed. Later they were special guests at the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet held at the Tremonton Stake Center where U. S. Senator Orrin G. Hatch was the featured speaker. A delicious dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Wynn Hansen hosted a dinner party at ''Henri's' Restaurant "at the Elk's Lodge in Logan Thursday evening. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Winzler of Tremonton, Mrs. Irene Peck of Fielding and Mrs. LaRena Christiansen of Logan. The Community United Methodist Church is presently helping the Box Elder in receiving Community Pantry with and personnel. The Pantry helps individuals and families during crisis situations. The first Sunday of every month, food items are received at church and donated along with the regular morning offering. Tuesday evening, March 1, 7:30 p.m., a meeting will the Church in be held-aorder to organize a regular Adult Bible Study for Sunday mornings. SHELT0N Mrs. Jessica May Bishop Shelton, 63, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Garland, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 1977, at the University Medical Center. Mrs. Shelton was born June 18, 1913, in Richmond, Utah, a daughter of Alfred William and Amelia M. Van-No- y Bishop. She was married to Leslie James Shelton on Sept. 25, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He died Oct.. 7, 1950. She had lived in Garland before moving to Salt Lake City. She had worked at Penthouse Fashions in Salt Lake City and as a secretary in Garland. Surviving are four sons and one daughter, L. Neal Shelton, Shelley, Idaho; Allan R. Shelton, Dennis L. Shelton, Mrs. Roger (Linda Lee) Beeman, all of Salt Lake City ; Gary W. Shelton, Honolulu, Hawaii ; 19 grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, LeRoy Bishop, Los Angeles; Leonard L. Bishop, Garland; Reid Bishop, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Morris ( Venna) Mrs. Howard, Gerald (Grace) Nelson, both of San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. James (Alta) Archibald, Tremonton. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton. Burial was in the Garland Cemetery. She was a member of the LDS Church serving as a Sunday School teacher, and secretary. Mr. Evans was born Nov. Linn, Mo., a son of Floyd Erastus and Nettie Serene Wilson Evans. He was married to Elizabeth Wortley on Sept. 28, 1940.
