School principal, Josh Hawks, will outline the school's policy during an emergency or natural disaster. Parents will be informed as to what the school will provide for children in such situations. "The goal for the evening is to inform parents so that they may coordinate home emergency preparedness with that at the school," said Reva Roland, North Park PTA president. The PTA will also demonstrate a Home Emergency Kit designed with "our own geographical area in uld Cont from Page one mind," Mrs. Roland said. The kit contains all items necessary to sustain life in the first critical 48 hours after an emergency. The kit contains such items1 as a sanitation kit, ready-to-efoods, medical supplies and items to deal with stress among children. As a special addition to the evening, two student groups have been invited to attend. All children who entered the PTA Reflections Contest (creative writing, art and music) will be honored for their participation. i. The third grade students of Mrs. Joan Stokes, who have been working to prepare a special program for the Mountainview Nursing Home, will present several musical and choral reading numbers for those in attendj ance, Ogborn plans to change the parking on South Tremont in front of the City building and Senior Center to parking. The change should allow a greater number of cars to park there. An effort is also being made to get Thiokol Corporation employees to form their carpools at locations other than in the business district. The city bail schedule for an ordinary parking ticket is currently $3. But, Ogborn said some council members want to increase it since, when a parking ticket is handled before the JP, there is little of the fee which goes to the city. The city will provide envelopes, however, to violators so they can mail in their fine. In that case it will go directly into the city fund. Ogborn said motorists who want to keep moving their car every two hours will be O.K. "as long as that little white chalk mark isn't in the same place." as 1 The annual Eagle banquet at Weber State' College Union Ballroom will be held at 7 p.m. February 26. Paul Holmgren, president of the Utah Sugar Beet Gl owers Association said, "If nothing changes from the way it is today, there is going to be quite a severe reduction in beet acreage in the state and possibly across the country." He said some visible presidential action in the immediate future would "give us all encouragement." The President, he said, can move the price of sugar "up drastically." In a slide presentation presented to farmers, U&I, Inc. pointed out that $18 million is pumped into the Utah economy annually through sugar production. The company paid $2 million in wages and salaries through the Garland sugar factory which employs up to 529 people on a seasonal basis. The presentation stressed that sugar beets have historically been one of the belter cash crops. The Special Collections section of the Harold B.
