Didericksen of Grantsville, formerly of Tremonton, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jonette, to George E. Bru-lottson of Mr. and Mrs. George 0. A reception will be held in i ( Average e, Cook Careerists Presented Claims "We're just kind of your dull average family," this week's good cook insists. ..THIS WEEK'S good cook is Mrs. Sid (Leslie) Gibbs shown with her daughter, Chaurie. "Really, I'm dull." Mrs. Sid (Leslie) Gibbs of Tremonton claims she doesn't sky dive, vacation in the Bahamas or know Burt Reynolds. But then,, who does. A Joung housewife, Mrs. Gibbs spends many of her days like a lot of other young mothers-tryi- ng to ignore Sesame Street which gets full attention from her daughter, Chaurie. The youngster, if asked, can count as a quickly to tenin Spanish no less-- all result of her TV education. The family is preparing to make the move to a new home which is almost finished. They presently live in the old home of Mrs. Gibbs' parents, Mr. and Mrs. ternon Stokes, of Tremonton. I Mrs. Gibbs plans to open a beauty salon part time in the new home so she can jresume a; career she trained for while in 'high school. She attended the college of beauty in Brigham City while a senior at f Bear River. Following that, she worked at the for a year. ' Her husband, Sid, works for the Box Elder County Road Department, and spends a lot of his spare time racing cutter teams with his brothers. In the summer he ropes. Mrs. Gibbs shares a couple of recipes with our readers today. four-year-o- ld FRIED RICE 2 cup minced greenonion, 3 tab. oil, 6 cups cooked rice, 'a cup cooked ham, Va cup sliced mushrooms or bean sprouts, 1 Tab. soy sauce, 2 eggs slightly beaten, salt and pepper to taste. Cook minced onion in oil until, slightly brown. Add rice and cook stirring over low heat 2 or 3 minutes. Add ham and mushrooms, mix well then add soy sauce, eggs and seasoning. Cook about 3 minutes or until egg is slightly cooked. Put in a bowl, pack down then unmold on a warm dish. Garnish with more onion and ham. j! Harris of Tremonton, Utah and Mr. and Mrs. William Johnston of Edmonton. A great grand- mother is Mrs. Jessie C. Millis of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Harris left Sunday for Canada to help out at their home.
