Show With parents' encouragement t X' Sisters test talent in sporting events Two Hill AFB military members are the first to admit they're proud parents. MSgt. Kathy L. Hardy, 75th Mission Support Squadron, and TSgt. G. Hardy, 775th ) Kenneth Civil Engineering Squadron, are the parents of Tamika and Latisha, ages 12 and 10. According to "Ken-Do,- " his girls are a rare breed and their talent and versatility don't come along every day. They excel academically and also compete in a variety of sports. Both girls participate in track events for the Salt Lake City Roland Tolbert Track Club, competing in the Midget Division. As club members, they competed in the Utah Summer Games held in Cedar Tish finished City June fourth in the high jump and Tamika one each won three gold medals race and in the 100- - and one as anchor for the 4 X 100 relay team. The following week Tamika competed in the Utah State Track meet held at East High School in Salt d Lake City. She again won the races and the 4 X 100 relay. By winning these events she qualified for the USA Track and Field Youth Athletics National (Ken-Do- 17-1- 9. 200-met- er compete in track and field events. Tamika finished 10th in the nation in the 100-metrace and her team finished fifth in the 4 X 100 relay. Because of qualifying scores achieved during the year, Tish also participated in the National Championships competing in the nigh jump. Her best jump was 4 feet, 4 inches; however, she did not place this year. Tamika and Latisha both attended Hillfield Elementary School where they were "A" students. In addition to receiving good grades, .... Tamika was school president and Tish, as she likes to be called, was treasurer. The girls also played in the Clinton Winter Basketball League where they were leading scorers for both their teams. After the basketball season was over, they joined the same softball team, which won the Layton Girls' Major League Championship.
