At Hill AFB, 76 staffs were notified of their selection for promotion. Also on the list were 1 1 other staffs who are due to PCS to Hill. a total of 77,310 eligible noncomAir Force-widmissioned officers were considered for an overall selection rate of 11.32. The average selectee score was 335.27 points, based on time in grade, 43.1 points (6.02 years); time in service, 26.07 points (11.72 years); performance reports, 131.76 points; decorations, 4.78 points; promotion fitness examination, 65.33 points; and specialty knowledge test, 68.41 points. Promotions to technical sergeant are based on the combined value of TIG, TIS, performance reports and decorations as well as PFE and SKT scores. Last year the Air Force selected 11,057 of the 77,147 eligible for promotion to technical sergeant during the 92A6 cycle for a 14.33 percent selection e, rate. The technical sergeant promotion cycle 93A6 list was released May 14 so selectees could choose to withdraw Voluntary Separation Incentive-Specia- l Separation Benefit applications, Air Force person- nel officials said: will start in June. The Separations under VSI-SSVSI-SSfor is May 29. phase II cutoff for applying Public release of the annual tech promotion list is normally made in early July. The master sergeant promotion list should be released in June. Requests for withdrawing separation applications must be made in writing to local personnel offices by May 26.
