If a fighter pilot needs to get his aircraft refueled, loaded up with bombs and bullets and serviced before another mission, he might want to consider flying into Hill AFB to get it done. A team from the 388th Fighter Wing just proved that nobody can do it better after they came back from the Sabre Spirit munitions competition at Osan AB, Korea. Sabre Spirit tests ground crews in their ability to quickly complete an integrated combat turnaround, sometimes called a "gas 'n' go," and to build bombs. Sabre Spirit is an annual event for Pacific Air Forces. This year, teams from around the Pacific competed. They included: Osan, Kunsan and Tae- - 68 We're the best... What made the Hill team's win even more impressive is that it was the first time a Tactical Air Command team competed in the Pacific Air Forces competition in Korea. The reason Hill was asked to send the team representing TAC is simple, said 1st Lt. Deborah Marquart, the officer in charge of the team. "We're the best," she said. "TAC wanted a team that was experienced and knew what they were doing. The 388th has what it takes to get the job done." Marquart's team of all but two Desert Storm returnees not only got the job done, but in some cases made it look like second nature starting with their first event.
