SrA. Jeffrey P. Sanders, SrA. Sandra II. Good, and SrA. Michael L. Somers vPbrfl Jected for this honor by a special board. Born in Worchester, Mass., Airman Sanders attended Hillsbourgh High School in New Jersey where he graduated in 1981. During the 1982-198- 3 school year he attended Trenton State College, pursuing an electrical engineering degree. In August 1983, Airman Sanders enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was below-the-zon- proinraotedl assigned to Hill AFB in AprU 1983 after graduating from technical training as an honor graduate in the engineering assistant career field. Airman Sanders was assigned to the surveying section of the CES and was honored for, accomplishments there by being named the Airman of the Quarter for fourth quarter 1984, and CES Airman of the Year for 1984. He is a member of the Red Cross donor program and an active supporter of the base chapel. Airman Good is a masonry specialist assigned to the CES Carpentry Section. She graduated from Garden Spot High School, New Holland, Pa. In September 1982 she en belw-ii,lliie-sin- )e listed in the Air Force and received her technical training in the masonry field at Sheppard AFB, Texas. Following graduation from technical school, Airman Good was assigned to Hill AFB in December 1982. She distinguished herself during an assigned project at the base hospital. For two months she worked to make the rooms smokeproof in case of fire. Airman Good is involved in the Big Sister program and presently enrolled at Weber State College for her associ- ate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. He was the equipment operations crew leader for the Prime Base Engineering Emergency Force snow barn project. Hailing from Annston, Ala., Airman Somers attended high school there. He entered the Air Force in October 1982. Upon completion of technical school at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., he was assigned to Hill AFB. Airman Somers was instrumental in landscaping the grounds around the Prime BEEF log cabin project. He is currently enrolled in the telephone installation and repair career development correspondence course. He and his wife, the former Sarah A. McCulley, have two children and reside in Clearfield. |
