NUSAT, a very delicate satellite that will be launched into space aboard a shuttle, is designed-taid the Federal Aviation Administration in antenna adjustments, and evaluation of the Air Traffic Control Beacon Radar Interrogator Beam pattern. This will provide a method to calibrate and adjust radar systems continuously instead of using the sun, which is only reliable when it's rising or setting. Ms. Lowe became interested in NUSAT because the program representative expressed to her his concerns about the packaging of the satellite for shipment. She pledged her support to aid in the proper packaging of the satellite. The pallet contract had previously been adver- tised in the Commerce Business Daily with one com- pany responding. That company was awarded the contract. When a request for more pallets was received by the buying office, rather than award the contract to the previous company, the buyers contacted Weber Vocational Workshop to see if they were interested in building the pallets for Hill AFB.
