Show HILL TOP TIMES 13 Friday, Morch 9, 1984 mirDeiirw rewards By Janene Gandee Suggestion Office Three civilian employees received more than $1,000 in January as a result of their work-savin- g ideas submitted under the Air Force Suggestion Program. Wendell R. Mann, a physical science technician in the Directorate of Maintenance, received $1,356 for suggesting a new method of recertifying soldering operators. The new method requires less time and materials and increases production time of those who recertify the personnel. As a result of his suggestion, the Air Force realized a tangible sav- - ings of $13t517. . Two employees in the Directorate of Distribution shared $1,199 for their suggestion for procuring liquid argon. Colleen Brogna, a supervisory supply technician and H. Douglas Richins, an aircraft refueling vehicle operator foreman noted that the Directorate of Maintenance had been procuring liquid argon for $2.80 per gallon through local procurement sources. The two suggested that the requirements should be submitted through the Fuels Division of the Air Force Stock Fund and in this manner, obtained for $1.74 per gallon. The suggestion was adopted and saved the Air Force $13,305. Others who received monetary reward for their suggestions during January were: Directorate of Materiel Management: Evelyn G.
