The kitchen was also remodeled and features new equipment such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, grills and warming and holding ovens. The newly remodeled Officers' Club has just had an $800,000 facelift and in- terior remodeling done by Jerry Jones Construction Company of Salt Lake City. Leo Marquez, commander, Ogden Air Logistics Center, opening the newly remodeled Officers' Club last night, a week-lonagenda of activities started. Tonight the club features a special happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m."There will be special hors d'oeuvres and drinks. A pie auction sponsored by the Officers' Wives' Club will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. and a western buffet will be served between 6 and 9 p.m. From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be a square dance caller in the dining area and from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., "Midnight Special," a western rock band, will play for entertainment. Drawings for prizes will be held at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. for items such as cactuses and western hats. g round of drinks for a member and spouse who bring in a potential member and spouse. If the' potential member joins this night, the new member and sponsor will receive a dinner for two. Anyone joining the club between now and Dec. 31 will not have to pay champagne fountain and a magician who will entertain at each table. From noon to 1 p.m., films will be shown "Football Follies" in the Fireside Lounge and "Cartoons" in the Daedalian Room. A magic show will be in the Red Lounge at 1 p.m. ; Drawings for dinners, brunches, etc. will be held at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 and 1:30 p.m: Couples Evening Tomorrow night will be "Couples Evening" and the dress code will be enforced for a coat and tie. A special dinner menu has been prepared to be served between 6 and 10 p.m. It will include Chateaubriand for two for $21.50; Chicken Cordon Bleu, $8.25; or Stuffed Halibut with Newburg Sauce, $8.25. . Casual attire will be permitted in the Covered Wagon Bar only, where drinks and sandwiches will be served. A specialty drink will be served from 8 to 10 p.m. From 8 p.m. to midnight, variety entertainment will be provided by "Steppen Stones" and prize drawings for dinners and other goodies will be held at 7, 8, 9 and 10 p.m. v . dues until Jan. 1, 1983. It hangs above the second set of doors in the remodeled front entrance . 5 tl t 1 and created for the club by Capt. Larry Clark, disaster preparedness officer, 2849th Air Base Group, and his wife Cherie. The Clarks donated more than 50 hours of labor in putting the 41 by 48 inch, 30 pound glass work together. They started the project last April, when, as Captain Clark describes, "We were discussing the new Officers' Club with some friends and I said, 'I ought to make a window for it.' " After getting approval from the people handling the club's remodeling, the Clarks started on the window. Captain Clark flew to Denver to purchase glass for the window since it's much cheaper than it was here and also allowed a greater choice of glass types and colors, j " Originally the design was going to be an Captain Clark said, ''but the AFLC logo was decided upon as the design for the window because it F-1- 6, was something that would be appropriate." The Clarks have been doing stained glass work since 1975 when Cherie took her first class. Captain Clark said he got involved about one and a half ' years later when "Cherie had trouble cutting a piece of glass and asked me to help.
