Recently, the Transportation Operations Division held a mobility exercise to test support functions, personnel and operations for rapid efficient deployment. Mobility operations have become critically important and each unit individually requires hundreds of personnel, aircraft and ground transport vehicle support for operation. The Transportation Operations Division must provide training for these personnel from different organizations and mold them into an effective, efficient unit capable of moving large numbers of passengers and cargo at any given time. The scope of these responsibilities makes Hill AFB vital in the world-wid- e defense of the nation and the free world.
