Colonel Korzep said the water used on the base comes from wells and the problem with pumping this much more water on any given day is threefold: danger enters the picture because the general pressure drops all over the base and threatens fire fighting capabilities; the cost factor increases because the water is pumped with electric pumps; and the water is treated incurring an additional cost.
