AFA takes the Air Force story to the general public through sponsorship of Seminars, Symposia and Aerospace Development Briefings in various locations throughout the country. AF A serves the Air Force family by developing programs and seeking support for policies which benefit Air Force people in areas such as pay, housing, medical care, retirement and survivor benefits. AFA sponsors several forms of group insurance coverage which enable members to obtain low cost protection through group purchasing power. their spouses, are eligible for regular AFA membership. Other persons who wish to be affiliated with the Association are encouraged to become AFA Patrons. Patrons receive all benefits of membership except those of voting, holding office and participating in AFA's group insurance plans. What is AFA? is an inAFA - The Air Force Association it national association organized in dependent, 1946 to "support armed strength adequate to maintain the security and peace of the United States and the free world." How much does membership cost? Annual dues for both Members and Patrons are $10; dues are $24. Life membership in the Association is also available for a one-tim- e fee of $200. A. Q.
