An electronic mechanic in the Missile Airmunitions and Weapons Division, Directorate of Maintenance, was recently awarded the Air Force Civilian Award for Valor. The award was granted for an act of heroism exhibiting great courage, with voluntary risk of personal safety in the face of danger, beyond the call of duty and was accompanied by a cash award of $200. Sherron H. Woodruff earned the honor on Aug. 4, 1976, when an explosion occurred in Bldg. 1309, Hill Engineering Test Facility.
