Show Millard County Chronicle Thursday, October 27, 1966 DELTA THIRD WARD AREA NEWS BRIEFS FRANCES WHICKER Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown came from Salt Lake for the deer hunt and to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Tolbert and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Brown. Wally Wood, Max Cook and girl friend came with them. Ladd Brown and Ray Wood came from CSU for the hunt also. Mr. and Mxs. Don (Barbara) Morgan Mor-gan and children of Moses Lake, Wash, visited Mr. and Mrs. Stan Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Wood. They took their mother Mrs. Norma Wright to Salt Lake and visited Don's mother at Riverton. Don is is president of Big Bend Jr. College at Moses Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Chloe) Manning Man-ning and family of six children spent the weekend with Alice Card ner and Carol. Royal and Kent came for the deer hunt and Clair and IaVon came also. Royal, Kent, Clair and Tom each got a deer. Some friends of Chloe's came to see the Gardner's, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hertbert and Mr. and Mrs- Jack Roberts. They also hunted with the Gardners and Mannings, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Perkins have Sherm's sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson of Long Beach, Calif, here for a visit Dean Perkins was one of the lucky ones coming home for the deer hunt, got a 2 pointer Saturday, Elsie McCullough, who works in Salt Lake, spent the weekend with & I s V YOTE LEIGH R. All attended a birthday party for grandmother at Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Larsen's. Mrs. Marven Ogden, Nadean and Margie Ogden, Mrs. .Louise Allen, Paul and Sher-ida Sher-ida Allen and Bill Dearden, Darwin and James Wheeler also were there. Membership read into our ward Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Petersen, Peter-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Wright, Mr. and Mrs. James D. Nickle and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Blake were fortunate to have their three eldest daughters home over the weekend. Loa Rose Hansen, Mrs. Max (May Jean) Stanworth, Mrs. Eddy (Connie) (Con-nie) Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tenry and four small children came for the deer hunt and to visit parents, Mr, and Mrs. Mont Cook and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. Evan Wright enjoyed en-joyed a visit with Kathy who is attending at-tending BYU over the weekend. Mrs. Alta Ashby took their daughter, dau-ghter, Mrs. Gary (Susan) Gardner back to school and Alta went on into Salt Lake to a State PTA meet ing. Sarah McCiellen went along to do some Genealogy work and get some valuable help from Alta. Little Cathy Ashby had misfortune to fall and break her arm while at play. We hope it heals rapidly. Our Primary children were given ghost shaped invitations to a Hailo ween party to be held Monday read ing "Be our ghost. You are corpsilly invited to attend our ward Halloween Hallo-ween party. Date Oct. 31 time 6 p. m. place 3rd Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bunker were pleased to have daughter, Shirley spend the weekend at home from the BYU. She is doing her student teaching now. Dale decided to work so missed the hunt but Glen got his deer as did his brother Lawrence they hunted together and brought us a lovely roast. Bill Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Brown is the new Student Council President. He is a diesel mechanic student at Salt Lake Trade Technical Institute. Congratulations Congrat-ulations Bill. Three long time friends spent an evening reminiscing of days spent working together at Clear Lake for the Railroad. Mrs. Louise Allen hosted Mrs. Edith Harder and Mrs. Shirley Skeems. Missionary Farewell for Von Callister, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lathel Callister was held Sunday Oct. 16 in our ward. Von will be laboring in California Northern Mission, Headquarters Head-quarters in Oakland. His farewell was the same night as his cousin, Stephen Church's Welcome Home. So relatives were dashing to both. Out of town members were Mr. and Mrs. Lindon Callister of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson of Oak City. Dennis Davis, Jim L. Ross and Von Callister went to the Manti Temple. Those going through included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. J. Lathel Call ister, Mr. and Mrs. George Church, Pres. E. L. He will be serving in the North Central States Mission. Speakers Merlin Christensen, an uncle Verland Will-den Will-den Bp. Lem Lovell, parents and the Missionary Prayers, Dennis Davis and Niel Whicker, music Lewis Ivie and Glenna Moody, the choir sang led by Evan Christensen. Dennis Davis, Jim Ross and Von Callister are together in the mission home this week. Mrs. Vaughn Allen, Randy and Marlene visited the Al Willdens and Keith Rosses and attended the farewell for Jim Ross. Colleen Farnsworth spent the wekend with parents Mr. and Mrs. Erwln Farnsworth. Dr. Ray A. Farns worth and son Dennis and Erwin and son Erwin hunted in Oak City and got one deer. Mrs. Susie Sampson has had her daughter Mrs. Jennie Miller visiting her for awhile. Pres. and Mrs. E. L. Moody had Ken and Richard home over the weekend. Andrea Nielson was Campaigning Cam-paigning for hubby N. Jack Nielson for State Representative. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Myers would appreciate visitors.
