Some returned home with their deer while others are still hunting. I understand our Publisher got himself a nice buck the first few hours of the hunt. Congratulations Bob. Mr. Gordon Dewsnup has gone to Denver, Colorado, where he has employment with the Bureau of Public Roads. Mr. Louis Schoenberger accom panied his son, Donald Schoenberger Schoenberg-er and Ross Humphries, Daryl and Merlin Humphries of California, on a deer hunt into Grand Junction. Colorado. They returned to Deseret for a few days visit after they all got their deer. Daughters of Pioneers of the Fanny Cropper Camp held their meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Georgetta Petersen. There were 18 present. Lesson was given by VUate Maxfield. Luncheon was served by Georgetta Peretsen and Beverly Eliason. Mr. and Mrs. Brown of California, spent a few days at Deseret taking care of their property here. They have purchased the former Doyle Mace home. Mr. and Mrs. Max Jensen of Salt Lake, came down to enjoy the deer hunt with Max's brothers, Homer, and Howard, and to visit with Max's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rhodes of Fill more and Mr. and Mrs. Brent Crop per of Salt Lake came down to go deer hunting with parents, Lester and Evelyn Cropper. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Western and children of Sandy, and Tony and John Western of Ogden were home over the weekend with parents Faun ad Luella. Western and to enjoy the hunt. Bill Conk, who has employment at Tooele was home for the weekend week-end with his wife Lorraine and three children. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Clayton and daughter, Penny Joe of Logan were home to enjoy the deer hunt with Mr. and Mrs. Van J. Warnick. Mr. and Mrs. Boone Colgrove of Salt Lake visited at the homes of Myrle Bennett and Evva Croft. Mrs. Ina Rae Roper and children of Kaysville spent the weekend with her mother, Ines Damron. ; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fowles and son of Salt Lake were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean L. Black over the weekend. At the home of their parents Bert and Lucile Hales was their daughter daugh-ter Rawlene of Salt Lake and their son Stanley of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brower and three sons, Kevin, Kenneth and Kory of Salt Lake visited Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cu-man Cu-man Cropper. Robert Allred of CSU at Cedar was home to enjoy the deer hunt : over the weekend with parents, Orln and Jean Allred. Gary L. Dutson of Cedar spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and ' Mrs. O. L. Dutson. There was a large number of j Deseret people who attended the Missionary " Testimonal at Delta Sunday evening for Elder Jim Ross. He Is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bennett. The Deseret Ward is planning on havin a " Deseret Homecoming" in connection with the Relief Society Bazaar on Saturdy, November 12. Remember the date and plan to attend and renew acquaintences. More details will be given at a later date. Delta Tax Levy Is 87.55 Mills The total property tax levy in Delta is 87.55 mills ($87.55 per $1,000 assessed valuation) this year, according to an analysis prepared pre-pared by Utah Foundation, the private pri-vate tax research organization. The 1966 levy represents a decrease de-crease of 0.30 mills from the 1965 levy of 87.85 mills. According to the Millard County Chronicle Thursday, October 27, 1966 study, the overall property tax levy in Delta has risen 28.5 since 1960, 46.3 since 1955, 63.5 since 1950, and 86.3 since 1910. Approximately 58.3 of the total property tax levy in Delta for 19C6 has been imposed for school purposes pur-poses (state and local). The Utah Foundation analysis shows that 26.0 of the 1966 levy was for municipal purposes, 9.7 for county purposes, 6.0 for special district purposes.
