Carl Mellor, owner of the Historic Lehi Hotel, 394 W. Main, has invited all Pony Express fans to have supper with Joe Nardone, executive director of the Pony Express Trail Association, at 6 p.m., on July 18. Only the first 70 people who make reservations reserva-tions can be accommodated. Those who wish to make a reservation should call the hotel at 768-0307. A donation of $5 to $10 per person will be requested. Proceeds will go to the Pony Express Trail Association. Mellor will donate the food for the supper. Nardone has spent the last 20 years researching the compiling of authentic significant information on the impact of the Pony Express in western America from 1860 to 1861. After supper he will tell about his findings. Mellor has said that no other living historian histori-an knows more about the real Pony Express than Nardone. Descendants of the Pony Express riders are asked to bring written accounts, pictures pic-tures or Pony Express artifacts. arti-facts.
