Aucoin, 55, of Lindon passed away Sunday, May 27, 2001 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born December 19, 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Ivy and Myrtis Johnson Aucoin. He married Alisha Whitney and was later divorced. He married Bonnie Hardman and was later divorced. He married Sherry Green on October 25, 1983. Their marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Don grew up in Baker, Louisiana and attended schools there. He graduated from Pride High School in 1964. He attended and graduated gradu-ated from Mississippi State Junior College. He moved to Utah in 1969 to attend Brigham Young University. Don later attended Weber State College and graduated in 1985 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Physical Education. He served as a Police Officer in Pleasant Grove from 1973 to 1985. Don joined the Orem Police Department in 1985 and served until his retirement in 1998. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, fish-ing, and working to restore Jennie Adams Jennie Adams Wild, 93, died May 26, 2001 at her home in Alpine. She was born April 19, 1908 in Alpine to Albert John and Ada Jane Mellor Adams. Jennie, married Elry Wild December 6, 1927. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died January 17, 1974. Jennie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in each of the auxiliaries. She especially espe-cially enjoyed quilting, dramatic dra-matic presentations, musicals, musi-cals, and gardening. She was an active participant in the Preston L Atwood Preston L. Atwood, 93, of Lindon passed away peacefully, peace-fully, Tuesday, May 22, 2001. He was born October 31, 1907 in Vernal, Utah to E d s o n LeRoy and Ida Mae Dingm an Atwood. He married Clara Leida Wooley on Sept. 12, 1928 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He grew up in the Uintah Basin and attended schools there. Preston farmed in the Basin until he moved to Lindon in 1953 where he owned and operated barbershop for nearly his 40 years. He was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church having hav-ing served as Bishop, on the hpfl::? Janet 'Jean' Andrews Janet "Jean" McFarland Andrews, age 88, passed away May 24, 2001, in Idaho falls, Idaho. She was born July 5, 1912, in West Weber, Utah, to Charles H. and Esther Drake McFarland. She married Gerald Wayne Andrews November 29, 1929. He died July 5, 1978. She was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church. She loved cooking, sewing, and gardening, but most of all she loved her family. His grandchildren were his greatest joy: Ryan, Ashley, Tyson, Tayelar, Tanner, Gentry, Brileigh, Austin, and Anna Marie will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife Sherry of Lindon, UT; children: chil-dren: Caissy (Regina) Brumfield, Walker, LA; Justin (Dawn) Aucoin, Riverton, UT; Shontel Aucoin, Draper, UT; Brett (Kelly) Lloyd, Payson, UT; Brian (Larissa) Lloyd, Lindon, UT; Darren (Heather) Lloyd, Orem, UT. Additional survivors include his mother Myrtis Aucoin, Baker, LA; sibilings: Judith Anderson, Liberty, MS; Cindy Carlin, Baton Rouge, LA; Randy Aucoin, Baton Rouge, LA; Linda Aucoin, Zachary, LA; and Dale Aucoin, Zachary, LA. He was preceded preced-ed in death by bis father Ivy. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the London West Stake Center, 250 West 600 South, (on 1600 North, Orem) Lindon. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at ' Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Wild D.U.P. Mountainville Camp. She authored several books including "Alpine Yesterdays". Under the direction of Wendall J. Ashton Jennie established a church-wide library system. Jennie is survived by a son, Jack LaDell Wild, of Tuscon, Arizona, a daughter, daugh-ter, Ada Mae (Jay) Bennett, of Alpine; 8 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren; and a brother, John Q. (Bertha) Adams, of Alpine. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Alpine Mountainville Chapel, 165 North 100 East. Friends may call Wednesday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Alpine City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Anderson & Sons Mortuary. Stake High Council, and as a missionary with his bride Leida to the Southern States in 1941-42. He is survived by his wife Leida of Lindon; three children: chil-dren: Cloyd P. (Marda) Atwood, Orem; Naon (Danny) Smith, Pleasant Grove; Layne L. (Sherri) Atwood, Pleasant Grove; 12 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include two sisters sis-ters and a brother: Basil (Gladys) Atwood, Kearns; Wanda (John) Houston, Pleasant Grove; Freida (Lee) Cunliffe, Sandy. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, 2001 in the Old Lindon Chapel, Main & Center Street, Lindon. Interment was in the Lindon City Cemetery. In addition to her husband, hus-band, she is preceded in death by a brother, two sis-, ters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include three sons, Dean (Suzanne) Andrews of Sandy; Lloyd (Ruth) Andrews of Lehi; and Blair (Mary Dell) Andrews of Idaho Falls, ID. Other survivors are a sister, Fawn (Ellwood) Rasmuson of Logan; 20 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi East Stake Center, 851 N. 1200 E., Lehi. Friends may call at the Church Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Marlow Shoell Marlow Shoell Manning, 48, died May 26, 2001, in Soda Springs, Idaho. He was born April 1, 1953 in American Fork; a son of Harry Dell (Bus) and Beth Shoell Manning. He married mar-ried Mary Allen on December 29, 1970. Their marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple in 1976. They were later divorced in August, 1988. "Mo" was an avid sports fan and enjoyed coaching his boys, his nephews, and the youth in American Fork for the last 30 years. He was in Pony League baseball base-ball form 1974 to 1975. He then coached T-ball in 1976 and moved on to the American Little League baseball program from 1978 to 1980. He was the American League President from 1980 to 1983. In 1979 he accepted the position of Representative for the Western Boy's Baseball Association and he served until 1987. He then moved to the Beehive Little League, where he coached from 1983 to 1990. He was not only involved with baseball, but also coached Bantam basketball and Little League football during dur-ing the years of 1985 to 1990. He followed the boys he coached and enjoyed their successes. He gave his time as the official score-keeper score-keeper for American Fork's high school basketball team and enjoyed providing the kids with "sour patch" candies can-dies after the games. Marlow supported his Estella Marie Durrant Estella Marie Durrant Peterson, age 86 of Lehi, died peacefully at her home following a very long illness. She was born April 23, 1915 in American Fork, Utah, daughter of Willard Albert and Marinda Elizabeth Mayne Durrant. Married Darrow Lydale Peterson, Oct. 17, 1933 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage mar-riage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 21, 1950. Lydale died Jan. 7, 1999. Marie graduated from American Fork High School and Seminary. She was a homemaker and loved to write poetry and read. She . enjoyed working outdoors in her flower garden and rock garden. She was an Richard Jared Richard Jared Snyder, 35, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at his home in American Fork. He was born July 18, 1965, in Provo, to David G. and Myrna L a r s e n Snyder. He married Corbie Jo Crawford November 8, 1985, in Provo. He loved fishing, hunting, hunt-ing, motorcycles, camping, the outdoors, and assembling assem-bling models. He worked with his father-in-law, Mike Crawford, who taught him the fencing business. He also worked on road construction. con-struction. He worked very hard and accomplished his contractors license and started his own fencing business, Snyder Fence. He was especially proud of his 2 boys, Dillon and Dalton, and his wife, Corbie. The family would like to thank the 17th Ward for all their support, prayers and help. And thanks to many friends and family for their support during this long hard battle Jared fought ' i ft Manning family by being a professional profes-sional meat cutter. He began his employment as the Meat Manager at Allen's Food Store from 1973 to 1980. He also worked for Smith's Food King and Alpha Beta from 1980 to 2000. He was currently employed at Lew & Dan's Grocery Store in Soda Springs, Idaho. He is survived by his children, Jon Marlow (Stephanie) Manning, Afton, Wy; Michael G. Manning, American Fork; Tonya (Andy) Vigil, Ogden; Teressa and Stacey Manning, Heber City; two brothers, Sheldan Giles (Vivian) Manning, Syracuse; Sherlin Jon Manning, American Fork' and one sister Loralee Manning, Murray; two grand-children, Colton Jon and Kaycee Lynn Manning, Afton, WY; also, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry (Bus) and Beth Manning, and one brother, Harry Dell (Bussie) Manning. He was a generous and caring man who always took time for others. His real ' true love was being with his children, cooking on his outdoor stove, camping, camp-ing, and enjoying their time together. Snyder; and many stepbrothers step-brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins and in-laws, that he loved very much. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson& Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork; where friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Red Cross seeks volunteen The American Red Cross has an urgent need for community com-munity volunteers who are willing to be trained for Emergency Response to nat-ural nat-ural and man-caused disasters.. disas-ters.. Staff members of the Mountain Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, located in Provo, say they hope to train and deploy hundreds of local citizens throughout the county service serv-ice areas, which include Utah, Juab, Millard, and Wasatch Counties. The Red Cross will bear the expense of training, uniforming, and deploying all who wish to join. All training will be provided pro-vided at no cost for those adults who are willing to serve for a minimum of year.
