A. F. Trecksfers J Are Good - But Not Good Enough What's a coach to do? Track and field coach Mark Farrer with several outstanding performers that showed up very well during the BYU Invitational last week could not beg, borrow or buy a point. Mark has four or five trackmen track-men on the A.F. team at their very best, yet they could not crack the winners circle. Don Rasmussen in the long Jump went 20 feet, his very best of the year, and failed to place. John Sagers broke the Cavemen's Cave-men's all time record in the 440 and he failed to place. Ray Maxwell and Monte Mor-tensen Mor-tensen also ran very strong at BYU and again failed to place. According to Mr. Farrer the whole State has top-flight men in every department. Recently, the Cavemen hosted the Division meet on theTorkers Campus and the Orem Tigers should have had very little difficulty dif-ficulty in winning nearly every event. Orem does have lots of talent this year as do other Region schools, but Orem might hava outscored them combined. A.F. has one of their best teams and coach Farrer has brought them along very well. He has developed several team members into challengers where it was expected that Mr. Farrer would be a little weak this year. But the team has responded and can not be counted out yet. Next Friday, May 1, the Region will meet at BYU for the Region meet, and on May 16, the State meet will be held at the U of U. Golf, Tennis Teams Victims Of Late Winter .
