He and his family are -11 r Governor Proclaims Foster Parent Week The week of May 4 through 10 has been proclaimed Foster Parent Week by Governor Cal .; 'N 1 EVERYBODY LOVES THE FIRE LADIES BREAKFASTS -- Getting a sample of the rib-sticking breakfast to be cooked by members of the Fire Ladies Auxiliary Saturday morning is president Mrs. J. Clyde Birk. Lorna approves the pancakes as historian Helen Bates, vice president Pat Hardy and secretary Dorothy Tidwell sample juice. Breakfast will be served from 6 to 10 a.m. All you can eat for $1. Kindergarten Registration Friday, May 1 On Friday, May 1, children in the American Fork-Highland area who will be five years old before November 1, 1970 will register for the 1970-71 Kinder garten and will participate in a visit to their school kindergarten classroom. Parents and children should arrive at the school at 2:15 p.m. on that day and plan to stay for one hour. While the children visit with the kindergarten ' jach er, parents will meet with the School Principal to complete registration reg-istration forms. School registration for the 1970-71 year will be as follows: (1) Those living in the areas now served by either the Forbes, Greenwood, or the Shelley Schools will register at their respective re-spective schools. (2) Those living in the area served this year by the Harrington Har-rington School will register at the Greenwood if they live west of Center Street and south of the Lnion Pacific tracks, or if they live east of Center Street and south of Main Street. (3) Those who live west of Center Cen-ter Street and north of the Union Pacific tracks, but south of Third North Street, and those who live east of Center Street and north of Main Street, except Knob Hill, will register at the Forbes School. Fireladies Breakfast Saturday Morning If you like to begin the day with a rib-sticking breakfast, something like sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, eggs, toast, coffee, milk or Juice, plan to be on hand when the Fire Ladies serve their annual fund raising breakfast Saturday morning. morn-ing. Breakfast will be served in the fire station from 6 to 10 a.m. with those good cooks of the auxiliary assisted by members mem-bers of the American Fork Fire Department. Tickets will be only $1 for adults and 75 cents for children under 12. Come and eat all you want, say the auxiliary officers. f Tickets may be purchased from auxiliary members or at the door Saturday morning. Mrs. Clyde Birk, Fire Ladies president, is general chairman of the event, with committees of auxiliary members working to provide the best breakfast ever. Life is hard to those who make it hard.
