Show A. F. Bridetles Sport New Riding Afiire Members of the Bridlettes, women's riding club, are sporting sport-ing beautiful new riding attire this season. One side of the riding vest is made of cotton rayon hopsacking in a modern flower riesien. The background color is avacado green, with gold, orange or-ange and a deep wine combining combin-ing to provide eye appeal. The reverse side is a sparkling gold lame. The lame was particularly particular-ly selected to be worn for appearances ap-pearances under arena lights In evening shows. Accenting the scoop neckline of the chaiero is a white long sleeved blouse of cotton Dacron with a dainty front bib of ruffled ruf-fled trimmed with lace. Black, bell bottom stretch pants with scalloped front and back yoke, black boots and short white gloves have been selected by the committee, and an attractive seven inch crown gold felt hat completes the emsemble. The blouse is accented by a small round pin set with rhinestones holding a feminine gold ribbed tie. The boxy chaiero is especially especial-ly flattering to all figures and is comfortable to wear for drills and parade appearances. The Bridlettes are one of the top riding clubs of the area and consistently win in the district, dis-trict, region and state compete-tion. compete-tion. Club president Mrs. Merrill (Woneva) Myers, Lehi, is shown wearing her chaiero turned to the printed side. The riding clothes also feature gold felt hats, ruffled blouses, black riding pants and boots and white gloves. John D. Durrant Promoted While On Vietnam Duty Marine Lance Corporal John D. Durra ' , son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Durrant of American Fork, Utah was promoted to his present rank while serving with the First Battalion, Fifth Marines, Mar-ines, First Marine Division 1 Vietnam. His promotion was based on time in service and rank, military mili-tary appearance, and his knowledge knowl-edge of selected military subjects. sub-jects. His battalion primarily conducts con-ducts large-scale operations against the enemy. When not engaged en-gaged in major operations Marines Mar-ines of the unit participate in company and platoon-size sweeps through their area in search of enemy infiltrators. His unit is also engaged in a civic action program designed to assist the Vietnamese people in completing self-help projects such as the building of wells, culverts, small bridges and schools.
