According to Merrill Hymas, District Operations Manager, Mountain Bell, business and residence customers should request changes in their directory listing by Aug. 19. In order to maintain the accuracy of the directory, only those numbers that are actually in service on the deadline date will be included in the book. Hymas says that customers who share the same address, telephone number and surname can have both names listed if they desire. He also explained that customers who have contacted Mountain Bell for changes in their telephone service during the past year will automatically have these changes included in the new directory. Telephone customers who desire to make changes in how their listings appear should call their Residence or Business Service Centers. County Fair seeks flower show entrants Entrants from North Utah County are being sought for the Utah County Fair Flower show which will be held Aug. 17 through 20 at the Fairgrounds in Spanish Fork. Alice Simper, Pleasant Grove, chairman of the event said that they usually get very few entries from the Lehi, Alpine, Highland and American Fork areas and she urges residents of those communities to enter their flowers in the fair this year. The flower show committee is - especially desirous to have children enter their flowers or arrangements in the competition. Entries will be accepted on Aug. 17 from 8 am til noon. Judging will be held from 1 p.m. til 5 p.m. when the fair opens. Mrs. Simper urged entrants to begin grooming their flowers now so that they will be ready for the show. Best-in-Show trophies and rosettes are awarded to the most outstanding entries in each class. First, second and third place ribbons are given as special awards of merit and other recognition. Premiums of $2 are paid for each blue ribbon and $1 for each red ribbon, Mrs. Simper noted. She stressed that the unusual flower or unusual arrangement are the ones which win the awards. She also encouraged men to enter the show.
