Activated from a control panel in the overhead mini-console, the sunroof features fea-tures a tilt-and-side design for smooth operation. It also includes in-cludes a wind deflector, sunshade sun-shade and "express feature" that opens the roof with just one touch of the control. There's another new convenience con-venience at your fingertips with the HomeLink 3-channel transmitter trans-mitter which is included with the LT trim package. HomeLink memorizes the activation codes for up to three remote-control devices such as garage door, estate es-tate gate and security lighting, and stores the data in memory. There are also enhancements enhance-ments to the Blazer chassis. The All-Wheel-Drive system, available avail-able on 4-door Blazer LT, includes in-cludes new four-wheel disc brakes that are designed to provide pro-vide impressive braking performance. perfor-mance. The disc design also cools faster than conventional brake designs, making it an ideal system for all-wheel drive vehicles. And, there's news in the powertrain as well. The 4L60-E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission fluid pump has been refined to achieve as a 20 percent increase in output, resulting in smooth shifts and increased operating efficiency. And, a revised clutch plate design reduces the potential for slippage, ensuring more efficient effi-cient operation. There are also some new styling touches on the 4-Door ' models. There is also an optional luxury LT package offered on 4-door models. The All-Wheel-Drive option op-tion available on 4-door Lt models adds the security and control of full-time four-wheel traction for a variety of road conditions, con-ditions, including rain, snow and mud. The long list of standard safety equipment on all Blazer models includes a 4-wheel anti-lock anti-lock brake system, a driver air bag and automatic Daytime Running Lamps that make Blazer more visible to other drivers during daylight hours. And parents will appreciate the standard child security rear-door rear-door locks on 4-door models. When activated, these door locks preventoccupants from inadvertently inadver-tently opening the rear doors from the inside. The Blazer interior was designed "from the inside out" to maximize driver and passenger comfort without adding exterior bulk. Adjustable, contoured seats accent a comfortable, quiet interior reminiscent of expensive expen-sive upscale cars. Blazer also includes such user-friendly interior features as cup holders in the center armrest console, Scotchgard Protector on cloth seats and trim to help prevent stains- due to spills, and dual.covered, 12-volt power outlets (LS and LT models only) that are useful for powering cellular phones and other electronic accessories. Blazer has plenty of cargo space as well. GM engineers used a washing machine carton as a template when they designed the wide rear cargo opening. And to maximize the cargo room, the spare tire is mounted under the body on 4-door 4-door models.
