""5 . - 7: ' . . i' - Public hearing A public hearing will be held May 13, 1997, at 7:15 p.m. in the Orem City Council Chambers in the City Centef to consider amending the city code on sewer lateral connections. The proposed change involves invol-ves modifying the number of connections allowed per sewer lateral from a maximum of four to a maximum number to be based on the Uniform Plumbing Code fixture counts. Reasoning given for the proposed amendment is that multiple unit housing in the city has changed over time from duplex or four-plex units to buildings with 12 or 24 units. However, the city's construction specifications have not been changed to accommodate the larger number of units per building. build-ing. Events and - activities planned include an art and essay contest for students, the placement of a historical marker, and a historical program pro-gram featuring music and storytelling. Thayn graduated from Mountain View High School and LDS Seminary. He has worked for a local computer company for the last three years doing technical tech-nical repair.
