The treasure finally finds a resting place in a narrow canyon, guarded by the spirit of Sinewava, ancient god of the canyon. The film allows the audience to explore the secret recesses of Zion's slot canyons, experience the terror of a flash flood, and hang with climbers from towers of stone 2,000 feet high. Although the human elements ele-ments have been carefully presented fof purposes of history his-tory and legend, the real "treasure" of the 38-minute production is Zion Canyon. The storyline is intercut with spectacular spec-tacular aerial sequences, allowing allow-ing the viewer to experience the park and the great monuments of the Southwest from a hawk's eye view. Visitors are shown scenes that they could never see in any other way. , The giant screen theatre at Zion National Park opened to the public May 26, 1994. The theatre was built to show the destination film "Zion Canyon Treasure of the Gods". Zion National Na-tional Park, with its ever-increasing annual visitation, and its unbelievable geologic wonders not readily available to visitors, is recognized as one of the most ideal locations in the world for a big-screen theatre and destination film.
