A pleasant house party and a possible buyer for the old Stilwell estate was all Agnes Harwood expected ex-pected when she invited several acquaintances for a weekend at the mansion. Agnes, double cast, is played by Darcia Pinette and Gail Hellman. She has inherited the mansion from her uncle, the late Albert Stilwell. She and her daughter, Doris Harwood, who is played by Lisa Lund, returns from the west coast to dispose of the estate. But Doris receives a letter warning her that her mother must not sell the estate. It is signed "Albert Stilwell." Doris is thoroughly alarmed and welcomes the unexpected arrival of Neil Parker, played by Bob DeFendi, De-Fendi, a young detective story writer with whom she is in love. Both are convinced that the old mansion holds a mystery. Lights go out and people begin disappearing disap-pearing and voices are heard with threats and warnings not to sell the mansion. Step by step Neil attempts to solve the mystery. The play is fast moving, suspenseful and fun with a bit of Albert Hitchcock flair. Anyone in the audience who guesses gues-ses "who-dun-it" by intermission receives a prize. It is family entertainment but is not suitable for children under five year of age. Those who have enjoyed the theater's annual "Hotel Frankenstein" will enjoy this one, too.
